Photo composition

 Snapshot or Photograph

  • snapshot: is a quick shot, taken to record a moment of time
  • photograph: a image taken with care or thought

Rules of Composition

  1. Rule of Thirds: imaginary lines drawn dividing the frame of your camera into thirds; place subject where the lines intersect; place horizon line at the top or bottom
  2. Leading Lines: use the lines created within the foreground or background of the composition leads the viewer through the subject
  3. Point of View: change the way your subject is perceiving by changing the camera position
  4. Simplicity: keeping the background simple; a chaotic composition will cause the viewer to look away
